On March 4th, the Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC) will be officially opened in Mons. This initiative, managed by both Microsoft as the Walloon Region, will be part of an extensive network of Innovation centers that aim at developing and stimulating the local IT economy and employment, and impact relationship with local governments, SMBs and start-ups. In this session you will get an overview what this specifically means for ISV’s.

“Software + services” becomes more and more concrete. After having discussed the Azure Platform at our last Innovation Days, we are happy to announce the launch of a Belgian ISV Incubation Center at this edition. In the session we will explain how a specialised local hosting partner is ready to support and guide ISVs that adopt the Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model.

Which client technology do you choose for which type of solution? Not such an easy question to answer it seems. Especially with so many technologies to choose from: Windows Forms, ASP.NET/Ajax, WPF, Silverlight. Nevertheless we will try to make it easy for you to make this choice.

Do you develop for the desktop or for the web? With Silverlight and WPF you can more easily do both. Learn how you can build line of business applications with these technologies and how the Composite Application Guidance provides you with a framework that allows you to share code between these two client types.
