I thought I would do some research on REST and I think this link  http://www.xfront.com/REST-Web-Services.html  has the best description of what REST means - its history etc. So REST stands for Representational  State Transfer and was coined by Joe Fielding during his PhD thesis. 

So lets step aside for a second and ask this question - how good is the WCF and .NET framework for REST?   I was doing serious research on the usual site like MSDN etc. on how to consume REST services with WCF when my colleague sent me this blog from Pedram Rezaei's Ramblings : How to consume REST services with WCF saved me the trouble check it out...
