I'm becoming quite the frequent flyer. I'll be heading down to Silicon Valley the first week of November for a marketing recruiting event. Here's the official messaging for the event:

________________________________________________________________________________________

Microsoft marketing recruiters are visiting the Silicon Valley in early November (2004) and we could be looking for you. We are seeking talented product and technical audience marketing professionals to join our growing Server Platform Business Marketing Organization in Redmond, Washington. We will also be interviewing for other Redmond-based marketing organizations and want to hear from you if you are interested in meeting with us.

Specific roles we are interviewing for:

-Product Manager

-Product Planner

-Marketing Manager

-Business Development Manager

If you have a background in technical product management or product marketing, business development, product planning, partner management or marketing communications, we would love to hear from you. Please forward your resume to Heather Hamilton at mktgjobs@microsoft.com by October 27, 2004. We will respond to every e-mail and will provide details on how to participate in our event if we feel there is a potential match for your background.

I'm going to start reaching out to some of the professional organizations I work with in the valley but wanted to give all of you a heads up as well. Also, I'll be providing more info on the Server Platform BMO in the upcoming weeks so you can get a better feel for the group culture and the type of work they do. Of course, I'm always recruiting for different marketing roles across Microsoft. So if you have an interest in us, feel free to send over your resume and if we have a match with some of our roles we'll try to set up some time to get you in front of some folks.

PS: NYC is next on my list (mid November), but I have yet to engage with the right professional organizations there. If any of you have connections with marketing focused orgs, please hook me up (PMA, AMA, etc.)!
