I've developed this opinion over the last year or so: blogs are actually a good place to post Technical Evangelist positions (Developer Evangelist, IT Pro Evangelist, Academic Evangelist, etc.). Reason(s) being:

1) lots of Microsoft evangelists blog so people understand the role, scope of responsibilty and how much internal management love-and-attention the TEs can get around here

2) position title is fun (whee!)

3) people with technical backgrounds are early adopters of the blogosphere (that sounds weird, but you know what I mean)

4) bloggers and blog readers understand community and grassroots marketing; which = evangelism

Proof: I've made more traction helping people get into evangelist roles via my blog than any other profile I work on.

Anyway, I've got a couple new hot jobs for ya and they are both Evangelist roles. Feel free to e-mail me with your resume if you'd like me to forward it to the hiring manager for these roles (Heather.Hamilton@microsoft.com):
