same problem here. installed vs 2010 express on a system that was (and is) running vs2008 express with no problems. I have never been in a beta or other such thing. yet when I start vs 2010 for the first time, I get the invalid license error.

The only think I could uninstall is studio 2010 express "prerequisites x64 - ENU" but I've seen lots of sites where people claim uninstalling didn't help.

@Ken, did you have any other pre-releases of Visual Studio 11 / 2012? What about past releases (like VS2010) installed on the same machine?

I never installed MS Visual Studio 11 Beta so it's not there to uninstall. I installed VS 2012 Professional and whenever I double-click on a .sln file I get the Invalid license error. Any other ideas on how to fix this?
