IT innovators, engineers, architects, entrepreneurs, students – the technical and innovative frontrunners in Denmark and the Oresund region – you are invited to showcase your technical innovations.
On Thursday 29 November Microsoft Development Center Copenhagen (MDCC) hosts an all-day IT innovation event. The technology community in Denmark is invited to participate and showcase new innovative technologies for Microsoft executives, press, venture capitalists, industry organizations and peers.
Technical advisor to Bill Gates, Eric Rudder, will visit the exhibitions and give a key note speech to round up the day.
Who Can Attend?
Small and medium sized innovative companies and university projects in the Oresund Region and Denmark
- with an innovative idea, a new business opportunity, a new technology, a new user experience
- with a product or feature in development or relatively new in market
- with a product or feature based on current or future technology, preferably Microsoft technologies
TechFest Set-Up and Awards
The TechFest is packed with exhibitions and presentations. Attendees will have a small-scale exhibition booth and can furthermore opt for the opportunity to give a half hour presentation on their solution. During the day, Microsoft employees and executives will evaluate the exhibitions and give three awards in the categories:
- Most Innovative Idea
- Excellence in Architecture
- Powerfully Simple User Experience
The Rationale behind Sharing
The attendees exposing and presenting their solutions at TechFest will get the opportunity to grow their ideas in cooperation with peers, executives and role models. There's even a chance that the most interesting ideas will be offered the opportunity of further collaboration.
Preliminary Program
- Morning: Introduction, exhibitions and presentations (visit and review by Eric Rudder, Microsoft employees and execs, the press, etc.)
- Noon: Presentation by the winner of Imagine Cup, a world wide innovation competition for students
- Afternoon: Exhibitions and presentations (visit and review by Microsoft executives, venture capitals, the industry)
- Evening: Key Note Eric Rudder, drinks and dinner
