Just in the session “Voice-assisted Care: Taking Usability & Care to the Next Level” with Amar Kapadia, Director, Acute Care, Vocollect Healthcare Systems, Pittsburgh, PA

A very interesting use of voice interaction within a care exosystem. Amar makes some very good points about how clinicians get used to this – especially not having paper with them. They have anecdotal evidence that clinicians love the fact that they do not need ot be at the computer so much and can spend more time with their patients.

The system Amar presented on also captures management data.

The UPMC Senior Communities – Seneca Place ROI was less than three (3) months!

It would be interesting to see how it handles non-USA accents.
