OfficeDoctor has been revamped and is now the Clinical Documentation Solution Accelerator (CDSA)!

This is big news for me as I am a firm believer in the use of commoditized software in healthcare and Office is the epitome of this capability.

I am watching James Lakes and Andy Payne present the CDSA and background on the platform to a packed house.

James also spoke about the requirements he has found for a platform in managing his wifes’ 2 medical practices. What he said he noticed is that Office/SharePoint/etc products have huge implications for the clinical environment.

Andy then demonstrated the CDSA.

This was a big crowd interest generator. I found the presentation especially interesting with the number of people I saw sit forward or nodding and NOT TALKING while the demonstration proceeded.

I videoed the proceedings and will be publishing them on Academy Mobile.

Overall I found this the most interesting presentation – especially the Business Intelligence demonstration portion showing data extraction from the clinical document and word document data.

I think there is a huge opportunity and future from the CDSA and Office in health because it just WURKZ!
