I have begun using the 2007 Beta and was saddened to see that OnAfterImport has been deprecated.

We have the need to switch views after a successful merge, and now there doesn't seem to be any way to do it.

The Merge event does not let us change views (presumably because during the merge the ui is updating.) I even tried to hack a bit by trying to SelectText, but I can't seem to do that in any view but the current view. I can't find a way to access another view, either.

Anyway, that's a big problem for us.

Good news is that everything else I've worked with in 2007 looks great!

I'd like the ability to restrict multi-line (carriage returns allowed) textbox entry to available space, even if it means using only a fixed-width font.

To do this now, you have to create a custom control (lose spell-check, TAB key acts funny, copy/paste works only sometimes, a print-view must be created with a non-custom control to get correct printing) or attach to the changing event to check after-the-fact to see if the text is too long but trimming it can be quite difficult to do properly after everything has been written.

OnKey events are not available (nor would I want to attach onkey events on roughly 100 multi-line boxes in 8 views). I know our customer would greatly appreciate having all the InfoPath features back and still have enforced text limits (and I'd like the shorter development and easier maintenance and increased usability and reliability).

1. The IP Toolkit for Visual Studio seems difficult to manage in conjunction with Visual SourceSafe. We always seem to have problems with Infopath not opening forms that are under source control, and with trying to check out the project upon opening.

2. It'd be great if there were a way to have multiple IP forms part of the same project in Visual Studio, rather than having each to their own.

3. More & better documentation for that toolkit, but we won't hold our breath on that one...

1. I'd like to format IP form elts with styles attached from CSS-file.

2. I wish Condtional Formatting dialog provide borders formatting.

Is it possible?
