The Caracal, the largest African lesser cat, resembles a cross between a leopard and a lynx.  It is an exceptional climber and jumper and hunts birds, antelope, mice and lizards.  It can put on a burst of speed to overtake a racing antelope, and can also leap high in the air to catch desert birds.  This fierce cat can kill even a large bird, like an eagle, with one swipe of its powerful paw.
