Holiday season is in full effect right now and I know many people travel with their Windows Mobile device.  When I go on vacation I tend to have some key applications that I always carry on my Windows Mobile device!  My Top 5 are:

1) Live Search for Mobile – with GPS integration - particularly if I'm in the US as Live Search is great for finding restaurants.

2) SPB Traveler which provides currency conversion, time change, sunset etc..  I mainly use it to add my next destination to the homescreen on my device and I can check the weather there so I know what to pack. The currency conversion feature is also really useful for validating if that item you are about to buy is really a bargain (or not!)

3) Newsbreak - this allows me to stay up to date with all my RSS feeds and news whilst I'm travelling!

4) Wisepilot Satellite Navigation - Normally when I'm in the UK or US I use ALK Co-Pilot Satellite Navigation as I have all the maps pre-loaded onto my device. Wisepilot is really cool because all the maps are stored offboard (ie in the cloud) and are downloaded to your device automatically wherever you are in the world.   They also have a Portal where you can pre-load all the places you want to visit before you get there and then sync them to your device!  They even have a 5 day trial with European Maps!

5) Astraware Sudoku - essential for dealing with those long delays/journeys!
