I have been receiving nasty-grams in mail from friends asking when I was going to get off my butt and start writing again. That would be today.

But there are a million ways that inteorperability happens without standards being involved at all. Yet, there are a million ways that standards deliver interop as well. The whole point of what I'm saying is that interop is a cocktail made up of many igrediants. I disagree with the assertion that interoperability=open standards. That is a point made by many and I think it is too narrow of a point of view.&lt;/p&gt;
