We less than seven days away from the biggest launch in Microsoft's history and the Canadian Launch team couldn't be more excited!
Earlier today, our team met to discuss some of the logistics surrounding the launch. Currently, the presenting team - that is, the speakers - is primed and ready to go. We have the content baked and we are currently in "trim-and-polish" mode. You're going to love what you'll see!
The theme of the event is "Ready to Rock". Essentially, we'll be talking about insanely-cool products (SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005, and BizTalk Server 2006) and as such, we expect the crowd to be buzzing. For those who haven't seen these products in action, get ready. We're going to show you things that will change the way you build software on this platform. Put simply, it will rock. We're not talkin' about a Lawrence Gowan/Gino Vanelli type of rock. No, no, no. We're talkin' about a full-on, in-your-face, Twisted Sister/KISS type of rock. The type of rock where guitars are lit on-stage; the type of rock where the crowd can't get enough, the type of rock… well, you get the idea.
In addition to the content, we're planning to give away some cool prizes to a few lucky attendees. I can't confirm anything at this point but I think you'll going to love what we've got up our sleeve. Our team is working incredibly hard to secure some as I type this blog entry. I'm hopeful I'll be able to provide you with more information later this week.
So, what can you do to prepare for the launch? Well, you can check out the MSDN Canada Launch Web site and grab the preview bits. Alternatively, you can read up on each of the products through hyperlinks listed on the site. If you're really keen to get ready, Microsoft has set up online training sites, which can be seen here:
