After my recent pleasant introduction to Windows Phone development, I’m now an enthusiastic advocate.

Two of the new features that really catch my eye are:

  • Blend support - Expression Blend 4 for Windows Phone is now integrated into the setup of Windows Phone Developer Tools Beta.
  • XAP deployment - Deploy your app to unlocked devices by using XAPs, the Silverlight Way.

I'm delighted to report that it was easy to port our beloved Polygon control to the Beta and host it in the Expression Blend 4 for Windows Phone designer.

Phone 7 is moving along at high speed, and with this Beta, you can get busy and crank out that mobile app you’ve always wanted to write.
