On February 1 the Office Web Apps (on Windows Live SkyDrive and Hotmail) team announced the product would become available worldwide in March. The Office Web Apps are now live in 18 new countries in Central and South America, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Out of approximately 2 billion internet users worldwide, there are roughly 750 million Office users. This means it is very likely that companies and people from all walks of the life are using Office Web Apps. The ability to view, edit, and share Office documents from anywhere with a browser and an internet connection will increase the number of users. As a Hotmail user I see the ability to view, edit, and share Office document attachments in Hotmail using the Office menu thusly:
