The Bruins won the Stanley Cup, the Dallas Mavericks bested the Heat for the NBA Championship, and the boys of summer have a ways to go before playoff season – so who to root for? Well, consider that over 350,000 students from 183 counties have been involved in the Imagine Cup 2011 competition, and you don’t have to look far for a real world championship.
The initial field has been winnowed down to a group of finalists – 400 students from 70 countries – who will converge on New York City in July for the Imagine Cup 2011 Worldwide Finals, but you can vote today (through July 12th) for your favorites.
You’ll be showing your support for some of the brilliant student minds who are destined to becomes the leaders of tomorrow, as well as helping one lucky team win a prize of $10,000 as the People’s Choice.
There are four US teams competing in the finals, two of which have roots in the Northeast! Check them (and all of the other finalists) out at the People’s Choice site, and show them the same passionate support you do for your favorite sports teams!
