A final PDF is now available for our patterns & practices Application Architecture Guide, second edition. This is our platform playbook for the Microsoft application platform.

What an achievement!!
Brilliant depictions and simple language.
I hope it is as a success as Code Complete was.
Great stuff. Thanks!
Any plans for .mobi or .epub versions for download?
Wasn't this already released in February? I blogged on it in February (http://jclaes.blogspot.com/2009/01/application-architecture-guide-20.html). I already read it, and I thought it was the best .NET architecture guide I've read so far!
Code Complete set a great benchmark for "evergreen" books.
Not at this point, but I think .mobi would be great.
So far it's been a challenge just getting Word, Wiki, PDF, HTML and print all in synch :)
That was the last release before we went to the printed book. When we went to print, chapters and content always shuffle around.
That's great to hear. The purpose of the book was to consolidate and build a map for solution architects. The biggest challenge was figuring out how to create an effective map so that other guides and projects could build off the foundation and dive deep.
I love MS.NET technology! And the pdf version is a great news for me. I can print it or read it offline in my computer. (I'm from Vietnam so it is not easy to buy the book from Amazon).
Love them (both the book and MS technologies)!
Great to hear!
This is a gr8 resource for anyone working on Microsoft platform. Over the years Micorsoft platform has evolved in many directions that made it difficult for developers to grasp every thing from architectural standpoint. I am so thankful for the effort you guys have put to bring this to developers on Microsoft platform.
Also I woul like to know if you have any plans on extending this to include the Azure related architecture guidance and patterns. I would like to see this at the earliest as I plan to build a product using Azure, SQL Azure, .Net Services, Dallas, Silverlight etc.
Also what is the timeframe for including Azure guidance and patterns?
Thanks and Regards,
