As a Microsoft employee in the UK I've been using a PC enabled with Media Center for over a year now. It's an unbelievably COOL product, but one which can only really be truly assessed if used in anger...at home, with either an anologue (freeview or just aerial) or digital TV feed. I'm not going to do it injustice here, so please do visit: http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windowsxp/mediacenter/default.mspx to find out more. My tip would be, if you are going to buy a new PC for any room/use in the home in the next 12 months, just make sure it has Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 on it. It's use in the home is only going to grow beyond doing the fantastic picture, music and video/PVR functions it does so well today :-)
