I’m pleased to announce the release of the June 2010 Windows Azure Tools + SDK.
The Windows Azure Tools for Microsoft Visual Studio extend Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Studio 2008 to enable the creation, configuration, building, debugging, running, packaging and deployment of scalable web applications and services on Windows Azure.
Lots of new features for this release:
QFE to enable IntelliTrace on 32-Bit OS.
We’re really excited about this release as it gave us the opportunity to be a more tool focused than we’ve been able to be in the past.
Hope you like it and as always – please send me feedback.
Fantastic news, though the URL points to the 1.1 version still. It should go here: www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx
Indeed some good additions !
Thanks and Regards,
Hardik Shah
Thanks Tom - the forward links sometimes take a bit to update.
Thanks Hardik.
Let me know how you find the tools as you use them in your day to day work.
Hi,
Any ideas when we will see an update to this page ? msdn.microsoft.com/.../ee924680.aspx
Thx
That is all awesome except that VS Ultimate is almost $12000! I would love to be able to use IntelliTrace but $12K is not an option. I understand you aren't the sales guys, but is there another pricing option that I'm missing?
Thanks.
Should be updated Tom :)
Hi Zac, I understand your concern around VS Ultimate and there isn't another pricing option. I'm going to pass on your feedback to the folks that make those kinds of decisions. Thank you.
I'm really disappointed because I was hoping you guys would have fixed the "Monitoring Agent Host has stopped working" bug:
social.msdn.microsoft.com/.../cdb8511b-1bd6-4cc9-8fd5-0564c6aaab1a
I've experienced this on both my laptop running Vista + VS2010 RTM and PC running Win7 + VS2010 RTM.
I tried doing a file system clean-up and re-installing everything on my laptop but it didn't help. My PC is brand new.
The dialog with the error pops up every few seconds when I'm viewing a Cloud app locally.
:-(
Hi Ed - can you contact me jnak at microsoft dot com. We haven't been able to reproduce this issue and would love to understand it better.
Thanks,
Jim
The links are not working. It's incredible how you guys can make these kind of mistakes
