Over the last year, I had the pleasure of working with a talented group of technologists at the AP to assist in their Azure adoption.  The AP implemented a solution to open up a highly scalable application programming interface (API) that developers worldwide can use to incorporate AP news content into their applications.  The case study can be found here.

Based on their early success with the platform and their pragmatic patience using Community Technology Preview (CTP) software, Microsoft reached out to the AP to become one of the first data sources for the Azure “Dallas” services.  “Dallas” is an information marketplace that brings data, imagery, and real-time web services from leading commercial data providers and authoritative public data sources together into a single location, under a unified provisioning and billing framework.  The AP content is available on the Microsoft Pinpoint marketplace.
