One of my favorites is the Web Sites and Services MOM Pack for monitoring web sites using synthetic transactions aka request sequence. We used that to build our SLAs around uptime and response times.
These packs are designed to help you capture health related alerts, events, and performance including backup failures across multiple servers and multiple farms in a powerful operations web or client console or via alerts and rules. As well, receive alerts via pager, email, etc...
