So, a little while ago, Jane Kim, who works with me on the IE RSS team, posted to the RSS team blog about the feed icon we'd be adopting in IE7. Shortly afterward, Michael Affronti from the Outlook 12 team posted that they'd be adopting the same icon.

I wasn't sure what the response would be -- though, I suspected it'd be pretty positive. Well, we got slashdotted (twice), interviewed by the Seattle P-I, and written about on every news site from Forbes (thanks for taking the most anti-Microsoft stance possible, btw :) to Mary-Jo Foley. All for an icon.

This, however, is the best yet. Matt Brett has set up http://www.feedicons.com, where you can get copies of the icon in any format you want.

Oh, and if you'd like to update your Mac OS X Safari, the folks at macspecialist.com have created a tool to let you do that.
