For those who don’t have tons of time to play, try out the new MS Learning Silverlight Snack Player. The "snacks" are 15-20 minutes long with demos, animations and explanations of core technology. I just watched a cool little video on installing and working with Server Core. Server Core is a minimal server installation option for computers running on the Windows Server 2008 operating system. Server Core provides a low-maintenance server environment with limited functionality.
If you think Server Core is cool, you can also watch an interview with Server Core PM Andrew Mason on TechNet Edge Media. This interview covers: why server core exists, explanation of what MinWin is, the differences between MinWin and server core, why MinWin was created, the future of server core and more. Learn what practical application you could have with a USB stick, Andrew’s viewpoints on whether or not PowerShell and the .Net Framework should be on server core. Andrew’s Server Core Blog has plenty of tricks and a step-by-step guide for Server Core.
