I know MSN Search team is playing catch up and has done an amazing job in the last 18 months. I attended one of their recent dev presentations and they were demonstrating how much better their "answer search" is compared to Google. Try searching for the current vice president of U.S at Google and MSN Search and decide for yourself.

Still, everytime I feel good about the prospects of MSN Search, Google does something that blows me away. They always seem to be ahead of the game. Look at their roll-outs of Google News, GMail, Google Maps, Google Library search, and now Google Earth. I tried Google Earth just a few minutes ago. Amazing! You could get satellite images even with Google Maps, but with Google Earth, you could now do a fly-by, tilt your views and mark various landmarks.
