While reading an interesting report on various 'Developer Center' web sites, I came up with a thought (it's rare, so I decided to write):

Up to now, when we post an article, I've been keeping the mention of the download just in the article. To me, that made sense - the code makes more sense if you see the article it's attached to, and vice versa. However, now I'm wondering, “Would some people want to just see the download?”

Should I make it so that you can find the articles just in the Download Center? Perhaps a more concrete example. One of our most viewed articles for February was Eli Robillard's, “Rich Custom Error Handling with ASP.NET”. If you go to that article, you'll see there is a link to Download the source code for this article. However, would it also be useful if you could go to http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/ and find that download?
