When I run this code in visual studio 2010 and the following line is executed:

myItem.Parent.Properties["Variables"].Collection.Add(mySimpleVar);

it caused the variables pane to be visible even though I have WorkflowShellBarItemVisibility = ShellBarItemVisibility.MiniMap | ShellBarItemVisibility.Zoom

Do you know what could be causing this?

Kushal, this of very great for us to get started on visual tracking. Only missing piece is applying adornment to FlowDecision it would be helpful if you could give us some pointers how to achieve this. We think it's not possible since FlowDecision is not been inherited from ActivityDesigner is that true?

Hi Kushal,

What happens if I don't derive my designer from ActivityDesigner, but instead from WorkflowViewElement? In this case I do not see the adornments.

WARNINGin this sample if you have default values argument it no works because argument element is at the first item in xaml stream, you have to do a second moveNext.

//Get the first child of the x:class !!!

a workaround is :

return WorkflowInspectionServices.GetActivities(wfFile).FirstOrDefault(c => c as IValueSerializableExpression == null);

This is exactly what i'm looking for. But where should I put those code in? In my custom activity code? I think I need to put it inside my custom activity code but I can't find Model Item.

Hi Kushal, thanks for this post. Any idea how to configure the data so that you can add multiple assemblies to the project when the item is dragged from the toolbox?

Is there a way to force the ModelItem by activity when showing the checkmark. I am seeing an issue where if you click a different activity the Check mark will be added to that activity instead because it is the primary selection.

Can you do this with a CodeActivity to make it use say a built-in activity's icon on the designer?
