Today, I'm celebrating my 21st anniversary at Microsoft (it was actually Saturday), anyone on campus can feel free to stop by my office and enjoy some of the 21 bagels (and cream cheese) I brought in to celebrate.

Sorry Esther, I guess I have to turn in my badge :)

  • Congrats on your anniversary, Larry! You can legally drink as a MS employee now!

    I remember 21 years ago ... I was just starting 1st grade. ;-)

    gretchen
  • You're making me feel old :)
  • so how did you start working for Microsoft?
    what was your first project?

maybe you've already posted that somewhere, but it would be a good time to remember... wouldn't?
  • BTX, I interviewed with them out of college.

Search for Steve Ballmer in the search box on the left :)
  • Congrats Larry! It's amazing that in this time and age, you are with a company for 21 years! Speaks volume about how good of employer Microsoft is. Congratulations once again! :)

  • Congrats larry ....
  • Bagels? I was hoping for a picture of 21lbs of M&Ms and a before/after picture of the team that eats them
  • Congratulations. I would come grab a bagle but it is now Tuesday and plus it would cost me well over a $1000 for the trip to that bagle also I can't get into Microsoft buildings... So I'll pass on the invitation this time. :-)
  • Congrats Larry

Microsoft or not, 21 years at the same place is very rare.
  • Larry,

Can you fedex the Bagels to Chennai, India ;0)

    CONGRATS!

PS: Do you sometime feel bored working for the same company for too long?
  • B A G E L

What kinda NY Jew are you? Sheesh, are you looking to have your card revoked?

Congrats on your career being old enough to drink.

Me, I'm terrified of the newbie orientation for tech this year. Maybe I shouldn't go. As part of it they have people go around the room and introduce themselves. People who are current members tell how long they've been on tech & what they do. This'll be the start of my 25th year.

maybe i'll just hide under the bed.

    we're old, boy. we're old!
  • Congratulations, Larry. 21yrs and counting - You must be one of a few people (not part of management overhead) who have been around for such a long time.

So, how has microsoft changed since you joined? What has changed for the better? For worse?
  • Congrats man.
  • Hi Larry

I heard they're reserving a room just for you in bldg 7.

    Cheers!
  • Aaak! I almost missed this one. Congratulations, Larry. You're almost six years ahead of me. I marked 15 years this past June.

Please stick around. You help me to feel better when young PGM's point out that I've been working at Microsoft for half of their lives.
