Another Surreal moment

Another Surreal moment

I was listening to NPR while driving around this afternoon.  They had a report by Libby Lewis on "Scooter" Libby.

Somewhere over in NPR-land, there is a producer that is just laughing his socks off.  I don't know how on EARTH they managed to arrange a Libby Lewis story about Lewis Libby, but...

  • The conversation that lead up to the assignment was probably reminiscent of the Major Major Major Major section in Catch-22.
  • The Washington Post mentioned this last Wednesday: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/10/26/AR2005102600311.html

And the Daily News reported that NPR was confused and reported her as being indicted:

LIBBY CONFUSION: Who can blame National Public Radio anchor Noah Adams for mistakenly reporting the federal indictment of "Libby Lewis" on Friday's "Day to Day" program? Libby Lewis - as opposed to Lewis (Scooter) Libby - is an NPR reporter who's been covering the legal troubles of Vice President Cheney's former chief of staff. Lewis, who claims no silly nickname, never worried that she had been indicted.

"I have a very good lawyer," she told me.

So, open question: is there an english word for names that can be reversed like this and still work? My own name falls into this category, as does Fletcher Christian.
