Ok this one is a something small that I’ve found very useful I don’t know how I’ve done with out it.
In Windows 7 the venerable calculator has actually been changed. It now has a range of advanced functionality one of these is a date calculator.
Remember from the Dynamics AX client you can access the calculator from the tools menu.
If you are running the client on Windows 7. When the calculator starts click View and change to Date calculation.
The you will see the panel fly out and can add or subtract days or calculate the difference between dates.
Thought this was cool for numerous purposes in Dynamics AX while entering manual journals, recurring journals, setting up periods, calculating dates for Fixed Assets, if you are working in Projects you are always working with time. Working distribution setting up transport calendars etc.
