Hi Paras, I am glad that you figured out how to proceed! Just to clarify, it is expected that a LS app with a Silverlight-based client will have to be upgraded before SharePoint support becomes available, but I can see how that might be confusing. We'll try to make it more straightforward in the next VS release.

Thanks a lot for replying me back. I am sorry for delayed reply. I have figured out how we can actually use the SPContext to publish it to sharepoint. I have upgraded LightSwitch project and it made sharepoint option available to me.

Previously I did not have any sharepoint options available to me, however with LightSwitch HTML client application

it adds SP by default. But when I create C# LightSwitch Normal project it doesn't. I have to manually upgrade the project.

Paras, from publishing to SharePoint perspective there should be no difference whether a LightSwitch application uses a custom Silverlight control or not. Can you tell us a bit more about the problem you are seeing?

Thanks for posting useful information. I am interested to know how could I publish this kind of app to sharepoint which has Silverlight control integrated with LightSwtich ? I have build drag and drop functionality using Silverlight control in LightSwitch I am struggling to publish it to SharePoint site.

Hi guys I made a screen which is not based on any Entity and want to add a custom control e.g. a textArea on that screen. How can I bind that custom control with a property of some entity which is associated to some other screen in same project?

Good tutorial, I love that we have the ability to add custom controls to LS. It really opens doors to allow us to customize our applications.

One question I had that I can't seem to find an answer to, is how do you get a custom control to display data INSIDE a grid (or list)? Say I want to show a small chart or gauge in a column of my datagrid. How do I set my custom control bindings to show data for each row?
