Another new thing with Windows Azure is the OS Auto-Upgrade feature!

It provides developers the flexibility to have the Guest OS for their service deployment automatically upgrade to the latest available release. Developers will continue to retain the ability to manually upgrade to a specific release of the Guest OS as well. Developers can enable the OS auto-upgrade feature either through the Service Management API or through the developer portal. The list of OS releases can be found here.

This becomes really handy as new OSs (with new .NET frameworks and other features) become available – remember, Windows Azure platform is really, really flexible in term of updates, since new functionality is rolled out every quarter of the year!

Sooooo, lots of innovation coming through! And despite the sun it looks like the future is indeed cloudy!
