Loved this guest post on Chris Brogan’s blog.

Although this post is accentuated to social media, I think it distils the basic essence of a solid “personal brand”. I always find that the best advice appears to be straightforward common sense, but is in fact deceptively hard to truly deliver on. Brackets are my thoughts.

  1. See work. (Not “Invent Work”)
  2. On time.
  3. Be perfect. (Actually, I think this should be “Cut Above” or something)
  4. Can do.
  5. Do the job no one else wants. (Or task)
  6. Be sales minded.
  7. Customer-focused.
  8. Always improve. (Continuously Improve!)
  9. Don’t whine, gossip or complain. (Or at least: Vent spleen out of immediate context)
  10. Become an evangelist.

See the post for the full explanation of each. If you’re interested in Point 10 then always drop me a line!
