I ripped some missing persons data from the FBI.gov web site and stuck it in MWS in order to create this nifty mashup which has 3 purposes:

1. Allow people to see the last place missing persons were seen. Perhaps you've seen one of them in your area?
2. Allow people to anonymously report where they may have seen a missing person. Right now the only method is to call a 1 800 number for the FBI. With this application you can actually place a pin exactly where you saw them and when. (I haven't finished this functionality yet).
3. Allow the FBI to visualize where sightings are taking place and when. They could tie that back to some leads they are getting or follow a trail to where someone may be heading. (Also, not finished).

This application can certainly extend out to criminals on the run or anything where the public may be of service to help locate someone.
