This year’s US Imagine Cup finalists have been selected! Out of the more than 14,000 students that signed up, 20 teams will be heading to the US Finals in Washington, DC on April 23-26. Here they will compete for the chance to represent the nation at the World Finals in Poland. Now through April 23, you can support the Imagine Cup by taking a look at the students’ innovations and voting for your favorite team in the People’s Choice Awards at http://www.imaginecup.us/peopleschoice.aspx.
Imagine Cup, now in its eighth year, is an opportunity for students to use their creativity, passion and knowledge of technology to help solve global challenges and make a difference in the world. It is a fantastic opportunity for both them and us to excite the world about what can be done with software and the show thought leadership. Microsoft specifically challenged students to apply their imagination towards innovations that will help achieve the UN’s Millennium Development Goals. You will see this year’s projects address needs including; education, healthcare and environmental sustainability.
