In the RunPreSave I get an error underline under SmallBusinessException, replaced it with this__ Throw New Exception(CStr(ErrorCases.EmailTypeInvalid))__ but the message is too much. Any tips? Am I missing an Imports?

Any tips on customizing the user interface labels? The SDK does not have any code samples that I have found.

Our firm is a ISV for Office Accounting and we really like what you have done with the new product. The new SDK is a substantial improvement over the SDK 1.3 documentation. We have worked with the products since the beginning and are glad that we got on-board.

Thanks to the team for all their efforts. It really looks like we are all headed in the right direction.

In my personal opinion, yes I'd like to see Office Accounting released for more countries but there's a lot work involved on that and this is a new product, so I would like to ask for your patience. Thanks for your interest.

re: Office Accounting Express 2007

Intuit have already done it. See http://www.quicken.co.nz/

Yes, agreed, accounting rules are very different from country to country. But Intuit, MYOB, et al, seem to have managed the customization of their software for international markets.

The early stuff that I read on Office Accounting indicated that the team seemed to have a firm grip on the issues. And if Microsoft felt that they were not up to the task, other developers in the rest of the world could have managed it in short order (and created new products based on Office Accounting).

So I can only conclude that either Office Accounting has been implemented in a totally brain dead way (highly unlikely) or that this is actually some sort of marketing decision by Microsoft.

re: Office Accounting Express 2007

@Martin:

Accounting rules are very different in countries throughout the world and changing those rules in software has to be a monumental task. If it were easy, I'm sure Intuit would have already done it. I don't know what their plan is, but as a CPA with some international experience, I know it's not as easy as it seems.

re: Office Accounting Express 2007

But the bit I don't understand - why is this product only sold and supported in the United States?
