I was reading an article that Stan Collymore wrote for the Mirror last night, this was followed by my favourite comment on an article I have read so far this year…
Cutting and brilliant :-)
At Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona today, Steve Ballmer unveiled Windows Phone 7 Series. This has been much anticipated and the guys in the mobile division have not let us down, this is a complete rewrite of the previous platform. There will be obvious comparisons to the Iphone but, hey, it’s a great device.
One of the hottest pieces of functionality for me are the Integrated Experiences. Information is brought together in a meaningful and valuable way. With the new Windows Phone hubs, information from multiple sources (your phone, applications, social network sites, other web sites) is served up in one place, organized around you. No other phone on the market offers this ability. We will also provide many valuable services – thanks to great integration with Xbox Live, Windows Live, Zune, Bing, and Office.
I am a longstanding fan of the Zune and it looks like every windows phone will effectively be a Zune with all the content from Zune marketplace being readily available on the device. the same is true for Xbox and Xbox live content, very cool!!
Check out Windows Phone for yourself! Today we’re launching a new site – http://windowsphone7series.com where you can view the new Windows Phone 7 Series.
This really tickled me, I think that Hitler makes some pretty salient points in this video, my favourite being “it sounds like a jeffing tampon!”
Working from TVP today and the hot desk I have selected appears to be in the comedy section; someone has super-glued 60p to the desk!
