We have just released a Wiki on msdn2.microsoft.com!

Now anyone with a valid Live Id or hotmail account can contribute content directly to the main msdn web site.

Although the wiki feature is currently available on only the VS2005 and Windows SDK managed reference docs, over the next few months it should grow to encompass most if not all of the content in the library.

A few features:

  • Inline editing and history viewer
  • Add/Edit from within the Visual Studio ide
  • Wiki content is discoverable via online search engines

I look forward to seeing our content grow and improve.  Please take a moment and try it out.   If you experience issues with the feature or have ideas for v.next would love to hear from you.

Here is an rss feed to recent contributions: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-US/library/Community-Edits(d=rss).aspx

Also check out the User Profile urls which contain your display name - here's mine: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/user-mark durso msft.aspx

I just ran across this article on Dr Dobb's Journal which is pretty informative and gives more details on where the wiki has been prior to 12/6/2006 and where it is heading: http://www.ddj.com/dept/windows/194300481
