Here is a sneak preview of the new MorphX developer workspace in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.

Notice the clear distinction between developer and application workspaces, and how the layout of the drop down menus makes it possbile to access tools with fewer clicks. You can launch the AX client directly in development mode using: AX32.exe -development.

The Microsoft Dynamics AX  Technical Conference was held 17-20th January in Redmond and delivered presentations and Hands On Labs (HOL) covering industry applications, horizontal applications, development tools and programming models, application foundation and application architecture, administration, deployment, IT infrastructure, and implementation.  Recorded sessions are now available on PartnerSource.

Convergence opened yesterday with a keynote by Steve Ballmer and Kiril Tatarinov. The upcoming release of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is one of the major topics for the conference. And it should be, the Beta is scheduled to be available for download in April 2011 - that is very soon!
