It&amp;#39;s an ordinal marker, and I would expect the genitive to follow it. This is not based on any knowledge of Latvian, but rather of German: &amp;quot;24. januar&amp;quot; = &amp;quot;the 24th *of* January.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
