It is our pleasure to announce the finalists and the winner of the 2011 Microsoft Business Intelligence Partner of the Year Award. This award was announced yesterday, and will be featured at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference this July 11 – 14, in Los Angeles.
There was tremendous interest from our Microsoft BI partner community in the award this year. We received 140 nominations from all over the world. Three stood out above the rest.
Our two finalists are:
Slalom Consulting, a systems integrator based in the United States, for their work at Safety-Kleen implementing a financial Fast Track enterprise data warehouse that replaced an existing mainframe system and allowed Safety-Kleen to implement Microsoft BI, choosing our platform over SAP Business Objects. This project helped Safety-Kleen save over $500K annually. Slalom won the Microsoft BI Partner of the Year award in 2010.
GNET, a systems integrator based in the United States and India, was nominated for their marketing solution implemented at Polaris. The solution, now named GNet Group Digital Marketing Dashboard Framework (DMDF) is being deployed to additional customers. The SharePoint-based solution utilizes SQL Server, Bing Maps, PerformancePoint Services and PowerPivot for Excel. It makes critical back-end and front-end connections and offers powerful, easy-to-use analytical dashboards. DMDF delivers Polaris the essential insights and capabilities it needs to improve productivity and optimizes performance across all marketing touch points.
And the Microsoft BI Partner of the Year for 2011 is…
…Nagnoi for their BI4All solution. Nagnoi is a systems integrator based in Puerto Rico. They have created a product called BI4SAP-Retail that has changed the way their clients run their retail businesses. Utilizing the Microsoft Business Intelligence platform, including SQL Server, SharePoint PerformancePoint Services, and PowerPivot for Excel, BI4SAP is a flexible, self-service BI tool built to use data from SAP. This tool allows Nagnoi's customers to make decentralized and fact-based decisions, which has increased customer knowledge, provided instant visibility to data, and allowed customers to plan their operations better and be more competitive. Novus, a customer of the Nagnoi BI4SAP-Retail solution, realized hundreds of thousands dollars of annual cost savings through the removal of redundant staff and improved inventory turn of over 60% after implementation. This allowed the customer to increase margins and grow their business, even in the recent difficult economic climate. Microsoft’s managed self-service BI platform has helped Nagnoi deliver superior business results for their customers.
