Books & ebooks about Microsoft tools, technologies, & research. Plus programming best practices. We hope you enjoy this post.
If you have visited us before, you’ve probably noticed our news in the left column:
2009 is the 25th anniversary of Microsoft Press! The press's first book was published on March 22, 1984: The Apple Macintosh Book, by Cary Lu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cary_Lu). For 25 years, Microsoft Press has described Microsoft products and technologies like nobody else.
To celebrate, we’ve been offering free e-books to our readers, and I’m happy to announce that April’s e-books are now available:
Grab them now because this offer ends on April 22. And, as always, enjoy!
And the SBS boom download doesn't seem to work, visual basic book download works fine.
It works, just a bit slow, wait a little and you will see that the browser will open it.
Regards,
MC

Christina, have you taken a look at what http://www.microsoft-press.de/ has to offer?
There are so many easy to use pdf-downloads in the web, why is it on this site so complicated?
The downloaded file is pdf_loader.pl, and I have to manually rename it to a myname.pdf file.
Heinz.
A agreed with Heinz... why does Microsoft makes it so hard. Really a marketing campaign designed by technicians. Well meant but the implementation is ....
SBS ebook download doesn't work, eventually times out to http://microsoftpresssrv.libredigital.com/serverclient/
The digital content for "Windows Small Business Server 2008 Administrator's Companion" is not available, it referers to a url that does not exist, eg:

We're working on fixing the issue with the Admin Companion's digital content. I'll let you know when it's fixed. Sorry about the hassle.
