About the Presentation

The Compression Session

SQL Server 2008 allows you to compress data at the row or page level, as well as compressing backups. In this session, we’ll look at the mechanisms SQL Server uses to compress the data on the data pages, to help you determine when and if compression will give your systems either a space savings improvement or performance improvement, or both.

Session Level: Advanced
