Today’s announcement of our new distribution relationship is accompanied by a new approach to how we plan our books as well. You won’t see a difference today, but over the next several months you’ll notice that our titles will be more up to the minute and relevant than ever before. We’ll focus on delivering certification titles faster. You’ll see new definitive titles on the best practices of software development. We’ll have fresh looks and approaches to our Office applications titles that reflect the dynamism of Office 365.
Behind each of those titles, the editorial team will be in tighter alignment with the Microsoft software, services, and devices teams to make sure we’re covering the critical path changes to core technologies you need to know about, as well as the changes on the horizon. Each title in our portfolio will be crafted by the best authors and editors in the business so that you can continue to depend on the same quality that you expect from Microsoft Press.
Looking back on our 30 year history, I’m filled with gratitude for our partners, authors, editors, and, most of all, our readers who have all contributed to defining Microsoft Press as the best source for information on Microsoft Technologies. Thank you for continuing to be a part of our exciting future.
I am a long-time fan as you know. Onward and upward, MS Press!
Despite having bought most of my MS Press books through Amazon and O'Reilly (which worked out nicely, btw), it is with some satisfaction that I see Microsoft moving towards Informit.com
BTW, could you guys let them know that your imprint should be available in the "Imprints" menu?
All the best,
Looking forward to the new tempo of delivery of cert titles.
It was about time something changed regarding certification exam prep books ... after pretty good Windows 2008 cert book resources, we've got pretty lousy Windows 2012 cert book resources ... and they were late, very late ..
Unfortunately not well coordinated changeover; suddenly the newest exam prep books are no longer avail in ebook form??? (which is the only way I buy them)
