  • books only cover the basic what you need to know is all about active directory and the problems that happen 1 2 3 or 4 servers trying to connect to each other, 80% wont be in the book yea found out the hard way...

  • Thats what you buy the second and third book for!

Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 R2 Services

    Administering Windows Server 2012 R2

  • I'll bet those books don't cover everything either!

  • this is why we have labs.  of course the books won't cover everything, they can't cover everything.  follow along in a lab and see what happens, document the problems, document the fixes, and then roll it out in production.  this is not a new process.  If you're building a production environment from a beginners' book then yes, you're going to run into problems, probably including a resume generating event.

  • this book was designed for student who are taking MCSA exam 70-410. So the book content is limited.

  • is it just me or does page 50 have an error in it under converting server with a GUI to minimal server interface.

    server-gui-mgmt-infra vs Server-GUI-Shell
