Today is “Embedded Day” at the Driver Devcon – The event is being held at the Seattle Sheraton – after dropping off the car this morning I walked into the lobby to see not only the “Welcome to the Microsoft Driver Devcon” poster, but also a poster pointing to a Palm developers conference! – interesting that both are running at the same time and in the same hotel!
So, back to today’s sessions, here’s what we’re presenting today.
Let me know if you would be interested in a copy of the slides from the event.
The event is very focused on Desktop Driver Development, it would be interesting to see how many attendees turn up to the embedded sessions.
That, in itself raises an interesting question… Why should you care about embedded operating systems? – surely Windows XP Pro or Linux, or other ‘desktop/server’ operating systems contain all the technologies you might need for an embedded system ? – Since I’m presenting in a few minutes I will expand on this in a seperate post (perhaps over lunch).
