Thursday evening a large wind storm hit Seattle area causing wide-spread power outage across the area - I grabbed a couple of photos close to home, you can see a snapped power pole just hanging in the air, there are hundreds of trees down in the area that have caused damage to property and power systems, some people will be without power for up to a week.

 

Hopefully normal service will resume soon (at least there's power, hot coffee and internet connections at the Microsoft office!)
