Live Framework Event in Edinburgh

Live Framework Event in Edinburgh

  • Comments 2

imageOn Tuesday 24th February, MikeT and I are doing an event at the Microsoft Office in Edinburgh on Rich Client Technologies (the event is full though you can join the waitlist).

Straight afterwards, without so much as a pause for a cup-a-soup, I’ll be joining the Scottish Developers user group to do a session entitled “Introduction to the Live Framework” in which I distil all my knowledge of the Live Framework to the assembled throng and we have the remaining 90mins to enjoy Edinburgh’s many fine watering holes (I did live in Edinburgh for a while in my youth – hello to Pete, Byron et all if you’re watching).

Here’s the full abstract:

The Live Framework is the uniform way to program against Live Services from a variety of platforms, languages, applications and devices. As well as providing the operating environment and resource model, Live Framework also represents the way to access the synchronisation features offered by Mesh and provides a mechanism for replicating and hosting offline Silverlight (and HTML) applications.

In this session we’ll try and demystify the Live Framework, clarifying what it is, what is does and what it looks like. We’ll then go on to look at how to get started developing with the Live Framework and explore some of the different capabilities it offers and types of application you can build.

And here are the relevant details from the Eventful site:
