In Step 12 I get errors when I add the AAM tha corresponds to the primary site URL. When I subsequently view the list the mapping appears to have been added. However when I browse to the site using that URL I get a different site (another site hosted on the same server with a diferent URL).

Hi.

I found out the problem. The code above cycles through all the nodes. In my case the frist node encountered was not the local node and so the stop/start/resume methods were being called on a remote node, which is not supported.

I am also getting a "Not Supported" error message when running the code you provided.

The getting of node status works, but for the stop, start and resume methods i get a "Not Supported"

Hi, first let me say this a great and helps to point people like me in the right direction. However, I found that in steps seven through nine there needs to be a "double tick" for proper execution.

For Example:

--Step 7

SELECT 'ALTER DATABASE [' + name + '] SET PARTNER = 'TCP://<principalserverfqdn>:5022';' from sys.databases where database_id > 4

Should read:

--Step 7

SELECT 'ALTER DATABASE [' + name + '] SET PARTNER = ''TCP://<principalserverfqdn>:5022'';' from sys.databases where database_id > 4

Steps 8 and 9 would need the same "double tick" syntax.

The Windows 2003 is much more better to match file storage. However, we still plan to migrate file storage to sharepoint. is there any limitation for sharepoint, such as the maximum file size? the maximum storage size?
