I am just unable to get this song out of my head! It's so melodious! It's sung by Isam Bachiri Azouaoui who is the lead singer for the danish band, Outlandish! This song is dedicated to his sister...
So far, I've heard this song like about 50 times since last night and it's still stuck in my head...aargh!
If you haven't already heard the original version, it's by Cheb Khaled (a very famous Algerian singer) watch it HERE!
OK! I am covered in drool right now! O M F G! The iPhone touch is soooo damn hot! I love it, I mean the only thing missing on it is a vagina! Sorry folks, spare me from the crass analogy but Apple has really out done themselves in making the iPod look so hot and sexy! And, now they add a browser on it…phew! It’s awesome! I am already on their waiting list and will be in queue to get this one on the first day. The last time I was so excited about a product was the Sony PSP! And, it did turn out to be as expected – sleek and sexy! But the only problem was it was completely proprietary and I just didn’t feel like throwing $45 for every game I bought for the PSP! (I get employee pricing for my xBox games J $5 or $10 baby! Can’t beat that…)
Anyway, I was refreshing my page on this website yesterday which was giving minute by minute updates from Moscone center and as soon as I heard about the iPod touch (well the rumor mills were already grinding hard!) I was grinning ear to ear. Because, I think the concept of ‘touch’ is great for a device like the iPod but it makes the iPhone totally unusable and I still stand by my stance that it is a POS! On the other hand, I wasn’t too sure about the new Nano aka Fatty! The whole idea behind the Nano was to keep it slick and this sort of defeats the purpose! I really dig the metal look and the 160 GB inclusion. Although, I’d be wary about it as its not a solid state Hard Drive device. Moving parts on a ultra portable device tend to give me sleepless nights. All said and done, I can’t wait till I actually get my own iPod touch! It’s sooo hot! Did I tell you, it’s so damn hot! God give me patience and give it to me now!!!
Kudos to apple on creating such a wonderful product! And, yet once again they prove that when it comes to design and products that you actually FALL in Love with, Apple’s second to none!
Although, I think this company should be re-christened to ‘Steve Jobs’!
No, I am not talking about the iPod touch! I am talking about Microsoft's Silverlight :) While the iPod touch will cost you $299 for a 8GB or $399 for a 16 GB device, Silverlight is free to install! How cool is that! :)
Phew! Finally, the much anticipated release was announced today! Fill your heart's content by going to Silverlight! To make it easier to deliver Silverlight experiences, we are also announcing the RTW of Expression Encoder 1.0.
OK, you are already OD'd but are you ready for something else? We are working with Novell to make this happen on Linux as well! It's called Moonlight, read more about it HERE.
Here are some useful links:
Go on, light up the web! Wait, for our Silverlight 'Red' - When you install this version, we'll save lives in Africa! (You know I am kidding right?! Microsoft and it's Chariman does that anyway!)
If you want to take IIS7 for a spin, this is a really, really good (well, free!!) offer: http://www.iis.net/default.aspx?tabid=7&subtabid=791
From the info on the site:
“Want to Go Live but don’t want to set up a server? These great Hosting partners have the answer and the best part is, it’s FREE! IIS7 Beta Hosting is an excellent way for developers & designers to take the sites they’ve played with on IIS7 in Windows Vista and test them early on IIS7 in Windows Server Codename "Longhorn" Beta 3 today. Furthermore, for PHP developers, this is a great opportunity to check out the new FastCGI component that enables scalable PHP hosting on Windows.”
