A very good compilation of the cell phones of tomorrow...it's amazing to see an industry evolve so fast! I still remember the mono-color, fluorescent green Nokia cell phone with a huge antenna - we've sure come a long way!

    Free IIS 7 Hosting...

If you want to take IIS7 for a spin, this is a really, really good (well, free!!) offer: http://www.iis.net/default.aspx?tabid=7&subtabid=791

From the info on the site:

“Want to Go Live but don’t want to set up a server? These great Hosting partners have the answer and the best part is, it’s FREE! IIS7 Beta Hosting is an excellent way for developers & designers to take the sites they’ve played with on IIS7 in Windows Vista and test them early on IIS7 in Windows Server Codename "Longhorn" Beta 3 today. Furthermore, for PHP developers, this is a great opportunity to check out the new FastCGI component that enables scalable PHP hosting on Windows.”

    Enjoy!

    Aicha - Outlandish...

I am just unable to get this song out of my head! It's so melodious! It's sung by Isam Bachiri Azouaoui who is the lead singer for the danish band, Outlandish! This song is dedicated to his sister...

So far, I've heard this song like about 50 times since last night and it's still stuck in my head...aargh!

If you haven't already heard the original version, it's by Cheb Khaled (a very famous Algerian singer) watch it HERE!

    Enjoy!

    FareCast.com

I have been evangelizing this website to every man and his dog! I can't believe websites like Twitter are getting more attention than useful, smart websites like www.FareCast.com ! Weird!

Anyway, what's the one thing you worry about when you are planning on buying tickets for your upcoming vacation? Ticket Prices and/or When to buy them to get the best deal. Right?! This problem for most part has been solved by this awesome company called Farecast!

It's very simple and elegant. You punch in the dates that you want to depart and return, select if you'd like to compare with other websites and voila you have your results with a recommendation and a graph showing you some price history. Simply elegant!

My only problem - When it's time to buy, it actually takes me to another site, usually the airline site. I wish they integrated the buying aspect as well. None the less, it's a great site.

And, oh! You can also use their farecast prediction service for hotels! (Still in Beta) Aweeeeeesomeeeeeeeeee!!!

Starbucks Oracle says I'm high Maintenance :(

If you already don't know, I love and adore Starbucks! I spend a lot of my time there socializing, studying, playing board games, hanging out with friends or just reading a book! My favorite one is the University Village Starbucks near the UW. It's the highest grossing Starbucks and the second one to be opened in the whole world!

Anyway, a friend of mine sent me this site, which is a Starbucks Oracle that matches your personality with the drink that you most often order...

My Drink: Tall Java Chip Frappucino With an Add shot of Espresso

    My personality:

    The all-knowing Oracle of Starbucks

    Behold the Oracle's wisdom:

    Personality type: High Maintenance

You pride yourself on being assertive and direct; everyone else thinks you're bossy and arrogant. You're constantly running your mouth about topics that only you would find interesting. Your capacity for wasting other people's time is limitless. Your friends find you intolerable, that's why they're plotting to kill you.
Also drinks: Water. Bottled, chilled, with four ice cubes, a twist of lemon, in a crystal glass.
Can also be found at: Trendy martini bars

Hmm...this is sorta true! The Oracle is real! lol...

    The last lecture...

What would you do if you knew you just had a few months to live? Would you continue doing what you are already doing or you would do something that you really enjoy doing?

Randy Pausch, a Computer Science professor at CMU delivered this amazing lecture, unfortunately it's aptly titled for him. Randy is suffering from Pancreatic cancer. But the key take away from this lecture is his positive outlook on life. My dad always said, It's not just the length but also the breadth of your life that is important!

    My prayers are with Randy!

No, I am not talking about the iPod touch! I am talking about Microsoft's Silverlight :) While the iPod touch will cost you $299 for a 8GB or $399 for a 16 GB device, Silverlight is free to install! How cool is that! :)

Phew! Finally, the much anticipated release was announced today! Fill your heart's content by going to Silverlight! To make it easier to deliver Silverlight experiences, we are also announcing the RTW of Expression Encoder 1.0.

OK, you are already OD'd but are you ready for something else? We are working with Novell to make this happen on Linux as well! It's called Moonlight, read more about it HERE.

    Here are some useful links:

Go on, light up the web! Wait, for our Silverlight 'Red' - When you install this version, we'll save lives in Africa! (You know I am kidding right?! Microsoft and it's Chariman does that anyway!)
